Tevfik Karagözoğlu
Tevfik Türen Karagözoğlu was born in 1965 in İzmit and graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass. Karagözoğlu also received a master's degree from Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Sciences, with a thesis on glass requilary.
Starting from his school years, Karagözoğlu participated in various international and national exhibitions and competitions. Having opened his first ceramic studio in Izmir in 1992, he has been practicing his art under the name "Deep Blue" since 2001 in his new studio in Yalıkavak, Bodrum. Karagözoğlu is also a lecturer at Muğla Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department.
Karagözoğlu, who combines the usual ceramic techniques starting from Neolithic times with his 20 years of experience and his own unique style, exhibits and presents his works in various forms such as ceramics, sculpture and wall panels. He uses the Raku firing technique in his works.
